About me and this site

PS_20140810230959_jpg[1]This site is dedicated to bringing scriptures alive for people by looking to find the gems hidden in the wonderful book, called BIBLE – Bacsic Information Before Leaving Earth.

My passion is to make scriptures relevant to our everyday experience.  This has nothing to do with religion but has to do with belief in a Creator who loves His creation and promises to give them abundant life. We can only enjoy full abundance by understanding the manual. I love writing but never publish anything. The web has made it easier for everyone to get their thoughts out in writing.

It is dedicated to the subject of Gratitude and  Praise for everything we receive from the Word, seen and unseen. Can you ever thank your creator enough? no. Can your own child ever thank you enough, not really.

The more grateful, the more we receive divine ideas.

Some of you may have heard of the Law of Attraction. There are many truths in it and some of these can be found in the BOOK.

Not many know that the root of it is really from the BIBLE and it is  nothing to be ashamed about. Check this out too, a Christian perspective of the Law of attraction.  it is not really a secret but a reality of life. It is a law like any other law, it works for you whether you believe it or not. Law of gravity is a law and will also work whether you are a Christian or not.

So how is the Law of Attraction different from belief in the Bible? I would like to quote Doug Addision, ‘ The major difference in the Law of Attraction and the message of the Bible is that when you ask for something, you should ask God directly in the context of a personal relationship, as opposed to a cosmic “Universe” force that is somewhere out there‘. Read more here.

He continues ‘When we ask, we need to believe that He hears us and will answer our prayer one way or another. We do need to be cautious not to visualize something to the point that we are meditating on the item itself that we are asking for. This could easily cross over into idolatry. Remember it is God who is the giver and the source of all good gifts’.

One of the most quoted scripture is Mark 11:25 ‘whoever says to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea but does not doubt, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass shall have what he says’

Faith is released by speaking words, words are things

So I love going to the root of things.

What does the ‘book’ have to say about Gratitude, Praise, Money, Faith, thoughts and many other subjects we need to live a fulfilled life on this earth.

For instance, on faith, Jesus said ‘if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. A personal relationship with the giver is important to ensure that we don’t idolise what we are receiving.

  • Your Creator wants you healthy, wealthy and happy but not without communicating.
  • You are what you think: as a man thinks so is he – Proverbs 23:7
  • Ask what you want and you would receive Mark 11:24 -25
  • Have faith like mustard seed Matthew 17:20
  • Be grateful always Ephesian 5:20
  • Give and you will receive Luke 6;38
  • Give your Creator permission to speak into your life by taking time to listen to him.

God  is speaking to us all the time and in various ways, are we listening? Do you ask ‘how can we hear God’s voice‘? It is important to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe in order to know if those desires are within His wish for you or not. I hope I can effectively convey the message of having a personal relationship with the Creator through these pages and posts.

  1. You have a wonderful website. I like that your passion is to bring scripture alive to busy people. It made me stop and listen. While we are building our websites and online businesses, it is good for all of us to be mindful of the scripture. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33.

  2. Very interesting Kavinah. I never really thought about how the secret can relate to the bible. I think there are so many unresolved mysteries to the bible that we don’t know of. Keep up a good work

  3. It’s interesting that you draw a parallel between words and things. In Hebrew, the root of both those words are the exact same: DAVAR
    Thank you for this website.

  4. A great site, with a positive mission. I have listened to a lot of impractical sermons this just may be the place to actually connect what faith teaches and its application in everyday challenges. Keep it up.

  5. Nice site Kav …In my life I have always found a great deal of inspiration from Proverbs …the wisdom of Solomon and the way it is expressed always makes sense and encourages you to do the right things.
    Here’s one for you:
Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established.
…I also read a number of Joel Goldsmith books quite a while back – Practicing the presence, Thunder of silence, Living between two worlds ….maybe you have read them – take a look if you haven’t, Joel is pretty good.

  6. I love your site. You have some scriptures featured that are some of my favorites. God is so good to us but many take Him for granted and don’t realize how that He is providing for them every day of their lives. It is only when trouble comes that many even think of Him. It is refreshing to see a site that is devoted to the scripture in our everyday lives.
    Thank you,
    Glenda
