‘ I am who I AM’ said the Creator to Moses in response to his question: ‘who should I say sent me’? tell them ‘I am sent you’. he continued. He has no beginning and no end. God is saying to Moses, I am what you want me to be. I am your adequacy. He was to remember that at all times, when he feels he can’t do ‘it’, all the power of the universe is with him to fulfill his given assignment. This is my name forever – Exodus 3;13-15
I am whatever you want me to be. What is it you want God to be to you? Do you feel you lack courage to carry on your life purpose, do you feel overwhelmed? He is supernatural. As beings created in His image, we can be supernatural too. We can do extraordinary things by staying linked and in regular communion with our Creator. He has no limits.
Those who know His name put their trust in Him says the psalmist.
A restored soul is a prosperous soul. I want to explore the meaning of this statement here.
Moira is the first of 5 children. She was born when the parents were both students. It was obvious that she was planned for. She grew up timid, never wanting to venture into anything new. ‘Moira, can you take over the project for us’, asks her manager. ‘I don’t feel up to it ‘, she replied. She has all the qualifications and ability necessary for the project but she’s always putting herself down. Our mind collects evidences supporting our current belief. Our perception of reality informs our behaviour. Life never promises to be fair all the time. We can with the help of the Creator change our circumstances by changing our beliefs.Continue reading Restores my soul→
A man woke up one wet morning tired and still half awake, he tries to remember the dream. In the dream, ‘he was being inoculated’. ‘ A shot of gratitude for thanksgiving and gratefulness which will inoculate you against many diseases’ , diseases:
When we learn to be grateful, we loose our sense of entitlement. It is hard to be in competition with something or someone you are thankful for. It is hard to be suspicious or bitter about something you have thanked your Creator for. Thankfulness will set us free from so many vices and help to live a more fulfilled live. ‘So what if you were sidelined’, be grateful as there might be an hidden blessing in the event.
It is difficult to be anxious when thankful and I think this is why the scripture :
Philippians 4:6-7With thanksgiving, make your request known. If you’ve already thanked for the answer, you cannot be subject to some of the diseases mentioned above. Thankfulness means you got something you did not deserve.
The Manufacturer’s manual is full of many stories that challenge our thinking and the norm. Many times We have heard or asked the question, ‘if there is a God, why is there so much suffering?’. That question has bothered me a few times but I know there is always an answer to every question if we dare to look for it.
‘Lord Son of David, Have mercy on us’ shouted two blind men seated by the road as Jesus was passing by . They were blind men, obvious to all who cared to look at them. Angrily the crowd shouted ‘Keep quiet’. How many times do people around us help to promote the ‘status quo’ by preventing us from asking for help. Continue reading I want my sight→
How can I possess knowledge of witty inventions? Proverbs 8:12 says wisdom will give us knowledge of witty inventions. I believe this is the type of inventions that come to us by non textbook means. Witty means humorous, comic etc. This type of invention is also termed creative idea. It may not have been done this way before but it definitely will make sense when revealed to the world.
‘I wisdom dwell with prudence, I find out knowledge of witty inventions‘. Dwelling with prudence, being cautious, not acting hastily. Another version says Wisdom lives with insight and it acquires knowledge and foresight. So we need insight, knowledge and foresight. Wisdom acquires all these. Wisdom is also termed application of knowledge. Foresight is the ability to predict what will happen. It is also in a way linked to being cautious. I would also refer to as a discerning gift. Being able to discern good from bad decisions is very important in life. Continue reading Witty Inventions→
I am reminded today of a story in the bible while having a conversation with someone. He had been making declarations, confessions on his life regarding some changes he needs to see happen. ‘ I am wealthy’, he proclaimed loudly . ‘Your declarations are contrary to your reality’ said a friend. The reason being that the present situation of the one making the declaration does not match what he’s saying.
This is the point of making declarations and it is a key point in manifesting the kind of life we want to see for ourselves. We need to speak out our belief and boldly. Say it as you want it to be and not as it is or has been is the key to changes. Speak the changes you want to see manifested. As he narrated the mockery to me, I remembered a few stories in the BOOK. resides in Christ in bodily form. Colossians 2:8 LB. So I have all I need when I speak and listen to God. The word is ‘fellowship’. When you fellowship with someone, there is a two way communication taking place, giving and receiving. I need to draw nourishment from the source. Continue reading All of the Creator..→
Wow! I have read this scripture many times and some translations actually make it read : ‘He gives his beloved sleep‘. KJV . I have used it in this way in the past to solve my temporary insomnia problems. It is wonderful to know that there is more to this verse.
I was thinking of the same scripture this afternoon and not for any particular need. I’ve been doing some study on money and material possessions in the bible when this passage came to me . I decided to look it up in different translations and lo and behold, it says in the Amplified version: ‘It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil—for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep’.Continue reading Blessings in your sleep!→
‘God daily loads us with benefits‘, He carries our burdens on a daily basis because He is our salvation. He carries our burdens day by day. It is good to know that I don’t have to bear them. Today I renounce my ability to ‘worry’.
‘The yoke destroyer has removed every burden and destroyed every yoke’, is my confession. Is 10:27
The psalmist encourages us to praise Him for this.
If I truly believe this, why would I fail to praise knowing that the praising Him is His delight.
In the world, the more you praise someone the more they want to please you.
Praise involves speaking and He enjoys listening to our praise as the bible says he dwells in the midst of our praises. Most times we are deceived in thinking that prayer is the only way God meets our needs.
I am reminded of a passage in Numbers 14 where Twelve spies were sent out to spy the land promised for occupation. Ten of the spies brought back a bad report but the remaining two confessed that they are able to possess the land and brought the evidence of the fruit of the land. They also confessed that the land is a good land and flows with milk and honey. They encouraged the people by asking them not to fear the owners of the land, ‘the Lord is with us’
